About Me

Hi! I'm Stacy Bronec!

Welcome to my little acre on the Internet. I'm a farmer's wife, mama to three, and writer.

We live in the middle of nowhere Montana on our family farm and ranch. We raise wheat, pulse crops, and black Angus cattle.

There are beauty and challenges to rural life, and I try to make sense of it through stories.

I'm glad you're here.

“Hey, could you grab the hook and get the afterbirth from pen 10?” he called. What story do I slide back into social media with? If you give a mom an hour . . . Like many young girls in the early 90s, I was obsessed with the Little House on the Prairie books. I collected the books, read them over and over, and even begged my family to visit Laura Ingalls’ house in DeSmet, South Dakota, on a family vacation when we drove across the Midwest. Most days, I’m wound like a top—everyone’s needs and schedules swirling in my head. But now, the crisp air hits my face, the leaves crunch beneath my knees, and I can’t help but notice how my breath has slowed. My mind is quiet—no longer full of to-dos and schedules—a different kind of quiet than I keep at my desk. 38. 🧡 These are days of . . . My face when I see tractors driving past the house, and I realize we are rolling straight from calving to spring farming. I was a few months pregnant with our third baby, and Rhett (who was 5 at the time) asked me, “How’s the baby gonna come out?”
